OThe Special Needs Program, was developed by the Special Needs Team beginning in 1997 after the Ice Storms in Southeast Texas. The Team is comprised of dedicated individuals from Lamar University Department of Nursing and Disaster Research.US.

This is a Microsoft Access program that is used to maintain a database of the special needs population that is being surveyed by the community. Local service groups, government, churches and others can enter the information, then pass it on to your local Emergency Management office. This will always be the most recent version.
